The Crown Coach ,
Authentic 1969 American School Bus built by the "Crown Coach Corporation" in their factories in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Brand founded in 1904, it exclusively supplied buses throughout the West Coast of the United States until 1991.

We purchased our Crown bus in 2019 directly in the United States in Phoenix, more precisely in Quartzsite, Arizona.
We took Route 10 and crossed the United States - 1353 Miles (about 2200 kms) - passing through Phoenix, Tucson, El Paso, Fort Stockton, Austin, Houston to arrive at the port of Galveston where he boarded a ""ro-ro"" (car carrier) ship over 100 meters long to arrive in Europe, in Zeebrugge (Belgium) a few months later (because of Covid).

It says "Bernie Bus Lines" because Bernie's company in Los Angeles provided school transportation.

Today, our Crown is registered and insured in France and we use it to explore our beautiful Creuse roads...
and it is with pleasure that we invite you to discover it and live a unique experience by coming to spend a stay there!

Our desire is to keep its authenticity as a school bus , which is why we have fitted it out while keeping as much as possible its appearance, its benches, etc.
In a cozy and retro space of around thirty square meters, you can live your "American Dream" , rest in a 140 bed and take advantage of the campsite's sanitary facilities for showers and toilets (there is no water point in the Crown).

Of course, you can enjoy all the campsite facilities (bar, restaurant, swimming pool, bowling alley, etc.).
It is possible to park your vehicle next to the School Bus.
The Crown is open for rental from May 1st until September 30th.

• a bedroom with a 160cm double bed, pillows, duvet and blanket

• a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet

It has a large terrace with plancha and garden furniture and offers you a beautiful panoramic view of the Creuse Valley to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

• a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, a gas hob, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle and all the crockery and kitchen utensils for 4 people.
• a bedroom with a 160cm double bed, pillows, duvet and blanket
• a bedroom with 2 bunk beds 90, pillows, duvets and blankets
• a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet

It has a beautiful terrace with plancha and garden furniture and offers you a beautiful panoramic view of the Creuse Valley to enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

Their length, from 9 to 11 meters for a width of 2.40 meters, offers a very large habitable volume (25 to 30 m²) ... for caravans ... the American excess of the 50s!!

American Caravans are open for rental from May to the end of September.

"Hollywood" is a 1952 SPARTAN Spartanette Royal

There are two access doors: one located at the front of the caravan, in the living room, and the other, at the back, in the bedroom.
The floor is black and white checkered for a total ""American Diners"" look.
The interior and all the furniture are made of ash wood.
A spacious living room with multiple windows welcomes you into a retro universe.
Its 50s sofa and wall lights create a ""cosy"" atmosphere.
The kitchen, separated from the living room by a bar, is equipped with a double sink, an extractor hood and a 4-burner gas cooker with enamelled oven, not forgetting the essential 1950s refrigerator!
To preserve our beautiful American cars and offer them many more years of life, the kitchen elements are not operational.
The bathroom is equipped with a spacious all-aluminum shower, a sink on a cupboard and a toilet.
At the back of the caravan is the bedroom with a 140cm double bed (pillows, duvet and blanket) and a small library.
Outside, a beautiful wooden terrace where very comfortable rocking chairs invite you to relax.

In a retro atmosphere, New York invites you to immerse yourself in the past, in a warm interior made entirely of wood and bathed in light thanks to its many windows.
First, enter the living room, furnished with a sofa in shimmering colors, a table and two city-style chairs. The retro decoration and wall sconces add to the cozy charm.
Continue your journey in the kitchen area, equipped with an authentic period "Frigidaire" and a gas cooker, also period!
To preserve our beautiful American cars and offer them many more years of life, the kitchen elements are not operational.
You are then in the ""night"" part composed of a bathroom with sink, shower and WC, all in aluminum and very special!
Then the bedroom with its large 160 bed (pillows, duvet and blanket) very comfortable, a bedside table and a door which gives access to the outside.
Its wooden terrace with its garden furniture invites you to peaceful moments in the calm of the countryside.

With more than 25m² of floor space, they offer:
- 3 separate bedrooms with ""real"" beds, comfortable mattresses (duvets and pillows)
- a spacious living space fully furnished with a dining area and a kitchen area (fridge, gas stove, coffee maker, kettle, kitchen utensils and dishes for 4).
You have jerry cans at your disposal to fill up with water and there is a water point near the tents.
And on the practical side, the toilets (campsite toilets) are very close by!
