  • Étang Pinaud is a natural zone of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest (ZNIEFF). It covers 66.46 hectares in the 3 communes of Pierrefitte, Saint-Chabrais and Saint-Julien-le-Châtel.
    Étang Pinaud is a natural area inventoried for its remarkable type 1 status: i.e., it is small in size, with ecologically homogeneous areas, and is home to at least one rare or endangered species and/or habitat of local, regional, national or Community interest.
