Eglise Saint Jean-Baptiste

Historic site and monument, Church, Registered monuments and sites in Bourganeuf
  • A bell tower among towers, St. Jean church is home to a number of remarkable features: the oldest organ in the region (19th century, recently restored), a 15th-century silver reliquary hand, an astonishing statue of the Archangel Gabriel holding a St. James shell-shaped holy water stoup, 19th-century wall decorations? What's more, this former chapel of the Commanderie de l'Ordre de St Jean de Jérusalem is part of a complex of medieval towers and Renaissance buildings.
