A new cycle route takes off from the Limousin to the Atlantic. Over more than 600km, from Lac de Vassivière to the Port of Saint Nazaire, or vice versa, a resolutely optimistic, committed and multi-faceted cycling adventure awaits you! This cycling itinerary is environmentally friendly, attentive to the fragility of biodiversity, and open to local encounters that make life more beautiful. On the Creuse side, the Vélidéale is connected to the Tour de la Creuse à vélo and La Vagabonde, but all along its 600 km, there are more than 10 other cycle routes of interest to our bike travellers.

La Vélidéale, the route for nature lovers

Formerly known by its code name -V93 – this newcomer will add to the range of cycling options available in the Grand Ouest region. From Royère-de-Vassivière (Creuse) to Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique), La Vélidéale crosses 5 regional nature parks and numerous sensitive areas, at the crossroads of numerous rivers and classified marshes. All along its route, 638 kilometers to discover, aquatic DNA predominates, through ocean, lakes, rivers and waterways. With a passion for freedom, you’ll experience an itinerary that’s by turns coastal, urban or wild, but always at the heart of biodiversity. Binoculars recommended! This cycle route brings you closer to what’s essential: a perfect getaway for passionate contemplation of the nature we all love.
