The Monts de Guéret are an ideal playground forclimbing enthusiasts, combining unspoilt nature with sporting challenges. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced climber, two emblematic sites await you: Glénic’Grimpe, an artificial structure where you can learn or train all year round, and the natural site of Maupuy, where the routes in the middle of the forest offer a unique experience in the heart of the Massif. Come and push back your limits and enjoy an exceptional setting for climbing in complete peace of mind!

Try your hand at rock climbing and get your fill of thrills at Glénic’Grimpe, a climbing centre set up on the Glénic viaduct! You’ll be secured by automatic belay devices, allowing you to climb in complete safety.

The activity is a 10-minute drive from Guéret and is open to everyone aged 5 and over.

To ensure the best possible experience, the weight restrictions are: minimum 20 kg and maximum 110 kg.

⚠️ Please note! Outside the peak season, the Glénic’Grimpe activity is available only to groups and by booking on 06 32 95 30 43 (Station Sports Nature des Monts de Guéret).

The Glénic’Grimpe climbing activity is available in July and August 2026, on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 10am to 12 noon, by booking only with the Husk’In Creuse association on 07 80 55 11 26.

With its old quarries and unique terrain, the Maupuy site is an ideal place for rock-climbing enthusiasts. Situated near Guéret, it offers a remarkable natural setting and walls suited to experienced climbers. Divided into three distinct sectors, it offers 49 routes with varied profiles, enough to satisfy enthusiasts looking for new challenges.

Climbing on the Maupuy site is an activity that can be undertaken freely and under your own responsibility. This site is exclusively for experienced climbers who are already equipped.
