🔴ℹ️ SWIMMING INFORMATION ℹ️🔴

– Anzême (Péchadoire beach): lifeguard patrols will cease from Monday 31 August. From this date onwards, swimming (which has been prohibited until now due to cyanobacteria) will no longer be supervised and water quality will not be monitored.

– Jouillat (Lavaud beach): lifeguard services will cease from Monday 31 August. From this date onwards, swimming (which had previously been prohibited due to cyanobacteria) will not be supervised and water quality will not be monitored.

– Guéret (Courtille lake): activities and bathing supervision will cease from Thursday 27 August. From this date, children’s activities will no longer be offered, bathing will be unsupervised and water quality will not be monitored.

ℹ️ Understanding bathing water quality

The results published on the government’s bathing water quality website are mainly based on bacteriological analyses (particularly for E. coli and intestinal enterococci). These tests assess potential faecal contamination, but they do not measure the presence of cyanobacteria.

Cyanobacteria are subject to specific monitoring carried out by the Regional Health Agency (ARS). In the event of a bloom that may pose a health risk, bathing may be temporarily prohibited, even if the results of the bacteriological tests are excellent.

Information regarding the opening or closure of bathing sites is updated in line with decisions made by the relevant authorities. We advise you to check the latest information regularly before visiting.

Courtille Leisure Centre

in Guéret

Nature and leisure just a stone’s throw from Guéret

In the heart of a lush green setting, the Courtille leisure park is the ideal place to relax, have fun and enjoy the pleasures of the water. Nestling around the Courtille lake, this not-to-be-missed site in Guéret offers a host of activities for young and old alike: supervised swimming in summer, water sports, play areas, walking trails and picnic areas. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a fan of idleness or a nature enthusiast, Courtille is sure to provide you with a great time all year round!

During the summer season, there are sailing, windsurfing, pedal-boating, canoeing, optimist and paddle courses on site.

Around the lake, you’ll also find :

During the summer, the Courtille lake in Guéret becomes a leisure centre offering a wide range of activities for your children!

From 4 July to 26 August 2026,‘A Summer at Courtille’ will be offering a wide range of land-based and water-based activities for the 2026 summer season!

Courtille campsite

Close to the lake and the Courtille leisure centre, discover the Courtille campsite, open from 1 April to 30 September 2026. On site: 65 pitches and 4 mobile homes.

Jouillat leisure centre

Access from Guéret on the D940, towards La Châtre

Nestling on the winding banks of the Creuse, the Jouillat leisure centre is an invitation to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. With supervised swimming in summer, hiking and outdoor activities, the site is a peaceful place to recharge your batteries with family and friends. With its shaded areas and uninterrupted views over the valley, Jouillat is an ideal place to stop and make the most of the natural heritage of the Monts de Guéret!

Swimming supervision at the Jouillat Leisure Centre (Lavaud beach) will take place from 4 July to 31 August 2026, from 2 pm to 7 pm.

🛶 Water sports equipment

Water sports equipment hire at Jouillat beach (Lavaud) is available from 1 July to 31 August 2026, from 2.00 pm to 6.30 pm. For further information, please contact the Husk’In Creuse association on 07 80 55 11 26.

The Péchadoire leisure centre

in Anzême

Base de loisirs de Péchadoire – A natural setting on the banks of the Creuse river

Located in the heart of the Creuse valley, the Péchadoire leisure centre in Anzême offers a natural, unspoilt setting, ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities. Bordered by the peaceful waters of the Creuse, it appeals to families in search of idleness as well as hiking and nature sports enthusiasts. Shaded picnic areas and signposted footpaths make this a great place to enjoy the fine weather.
