Day 1:

On arrival at your accommodation, join the Sentier d’interprétation de la Lande du Puy la Croix, for an initial Tèrra Aventura trail in the footsteps of the “fairy woman”, the founding legend of the site. Arriving at the belvedere, you’ll discover one of the finest views of the lake.

After recharging your batteries at the “Bistro du Lac ” (Masgrangeas), you’ll board a canoe for a family treasure hunt: on the program is a playful discovery of the wild, uninhabited islands of Lac de Vassivière, in the company of a nature guide who will accompany children (aged 6 and over) into this unspoilt environment and lead them on a wild adventure to the mysterious island of Soumeix.

Day 2:

For this second day, head forVassivière Island ! The Tèrra Aventura “Culture with your feet in the water” trail will guide you in your discovery of this unspoilt site and its Centre international d’art et du paysage ( CIAP), dedicated to contemporary creation, which hosts exhibitions, events, workshops and meetings every year, and whose “lighthouse tower” offers an exceptional panorama of the surrounding landscape.

During your day of exploration, don’t forget to take a lunch break at Le Pré du Lac“, a restaurant on Vassivière Island offering cuisine based on local, organic produce.

Day 3:

Today’s program includes the Haute-Vienne part of Lac de Vassivière: near Auphelle (Peyrat-le-Château), you join the Tèrra Aventura trail on the “Poets’ Way “. A walk (5 km round trip) invites you to discover the Bois de Crozat and its rare species. Along the way, sculptures invite you to decipher the poems engraved in the granite.

After a climb to the Roches Brunagères orientation table, which on a clear day offers a splendid view as far as the Massif du Sancy, head for ” Vassivièra, l’Encas local”, the ideal place to relax over a meal cooked with local produce, and the starting point for your afternoon adventures (your choice):

  • The “Sentier des légendes” (“Legends Trail “) takes you on a treasure hunt along a trail of landscapes;

Adventurers of all ages join us today at the “D’ arbre en arbre” tree-climbing park. On the program: a 2h30 discovery of the forest through 7 fun courses (2 “children’s” courses and 5 “junior/adult” courses).

In the late afternoon, climb aboard Franck’s boat (Adi Milles Tour) for a guided tour of the lake, accompanied by a selection of quality local products (charcuterie and cheese boards).

Day 6:

For this final day, treat yourself to a canoe, kayak or paddle adventure. With your topoguide in hand, or accompanied by a certified guide, discover “Vassivière autrement” via one of the “Sentiers nautiques” offered by the Fédération française de canoë-kayak.
